Wedding Gift Ideas for Outdoorsy Couples

Weddings

13 May

Whether you are putting together a registry for your own wedding or trying to find the ideal gift for a someone who is getting married, it has become increasingly difficult to find original, unique gifts that are suited to the couple in question.

Historically, a wedding would also mark the union of two people, as they move out of their family homes, and build a new home and life together. Guests of the wedding were part of that process, as they contributed all the practical elements that were needed for the couple’s new life together. For years to come, couples could fondly remember their great-aunt as they ate off their wedding plates or give thanks to the cousin that provided them with the kettle as they drank their morning coffee.

However, these days, cohabitation before marriage is common among couples, which in turn means that most couples will already own all the bits and pieces that make up a home. This also means that often wedding gifts are more about the interests of the couple rather than helping them furnish their new home together.

Here is a list of original ideas for a couple who love to spend time in the great outdoors. Travel and adventure are an excellent way to enjoy new experiences together during the romance of a fledgling marriage.

A Portable Hammock

There are numerous possibilities available to suit all budgets but consider splashing out or going in with friends to get them a really top of the range double hammock that will last a lifetime. As there is not always a good tree option, you may want to consider getting them a portable stand to go with it.

A Portable Garage

This is sure to stand out from all the other gifts and may even be something the couple themselves have not yet considered. When traveling and camping, a portable garage not only protects your car from the elements but also provides shelter when packing and unpacking the car. Any seasoned camper will see this as invaluable during bad weather. Visit ShelterLogic garages for an excellent selection of fully customizable garages to suit all budgets.

A Portable Grill

This is a great piece of equipment for any outdoor or camping enthusiasts. They can be extremely lightweight and easy to fold up and pop in the boot of your car. The little disposable gas canisters are a great addition too. For long journeys, they can be used at rest stops, in parking lots, or on campsites. Any outdoorsy couple would be delighted to receive a portable grill.

A Picnic Backpack

What could be a more romantic way to spend newly married life than going on a picnic with your spouse. Backpacks come with all the cutlery and crockery to make it a truly special occasion, and your loved ones will think of you every time they lay out the rug for their next picnic. These also come in a range of prices so you can pick one to suit your budget.
