5 Things You Should Do for Perfect Teeth by Your Wedding Day

Weddings

25 Mar

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, which makes it not at all surprising that so many people spend years planning the perfect day.

Understandably, many brides-to-be are conscious of their overall look on the big day, including the appearance of their teeth, and want to do what they can to ensure their wedding photographs show off a perfect smile. Here are five things you can do to your teeth in preparation for the big day.

Improve Your Dental Hygiene and Oral Health at Home

First, you should think about the different ways you can improve your dental hygiene routine. We all realise how important it is to brush our teeth at least twice a day, but we may not religiously stick to this recommendation. If your routine only consists of tooth brushing, then you may want to think about adding dental floss and mouthwash. Additionally, you should try to cut back on acidic and sugary foods.

Consider Whitening

As we get older, our teeth can start to naturally discolour, leaving us desperate to get a perfect pearly white smile. Therefore, many brides-to-be decide to opt for teeth whitening treatments. There are teeth whitening treatment kits available to do at home, or you can visit your local dentist or aesthetics clinic for them to carry out the treatment for you professionally. However, we recommend that you do your research on a treatment before you go ahead.

Also, don’t leave it until the last minute, as some brides who have tried to use a tooth whitening kit the night before their wedding have woken up to irritated skin and gums. That is the last thing you want on your big day!

Visit the Professionals

Dental professionals now offer a huge variety of services to clients who want to make all kinds of improvements to their teeth. From teeth whitening to structural dental work, there is an option for everyone.

Check Your Toothpaste

Many people underestimate how important it is to check the type of toothpaste they are using and to make sure that they are using a toothpaste that is non-abrasive. This means avoiding toothpaste that contains ingredients such as silica.

Sip Smartly

Every time you take a sip of your coffee, you could be adding to the stains and marks that are on your teeth. So, be mindful of this in the lead up to your wedding day and consider drinking your latte through a straw to limit the damage!

No matter what sort of wedding day you are planning, whether it’s a huge event, or small and intimate, there is one thing you know for sure; you will want to look your best and feel great! By following the tips and advice above, you can flaunt your perfect teeth on your unforgettable day.
