How to Plan a Surprise Bridal Shower for the Most Fun Ever

Lifestyle

25 Oct

If you’ve ever had to plan a surprise party of any kind, you know just how difficult it can be. However, when it comes to something like a bridal shower, it can be almost impossible not to give it away. Not only are you inviting some guests who may be coming from out of town for the big event, but there are some who might not be close enough to the bride-to-be and will give it away inadvertently. Try getting someone to tell you what they need without telling them why you are asking! Now that you are planning a bridal shower for your BFF, you want it to be the best and most fun ever. So how can you do that? Here’s how!

When They Least Expect It

While it is tradition for someone to keep the bride occupied while someone else stays behind to decorate and set up for the shower, who would expect a surprise shower when the entire entourage is out for the evening? This is where the fun comes in. Get someone to set up the party that the bride-to-be would never expect in a million years. It could be one of the mothers of the bridesmaids or it could be an actual caterer booked for the evening’s refreshments. However, the key element here is to get as many of her friends together as possible for the ‘evening out’ so that even if she expected a bridal shower, she would never dream of it being tonight!

Plan Something with a Predefined Time Limit

Of course, you don’t want to go out to dinner because there is no way to tell how long you will be in a restaurant and a movie is out of the question because, well, because they just aren’t social enough. What some girls planning a bridal shower in Cincinnati have done is book tickets to one of the amazing Cincinnati escape rooms that run for exactly an hour. They are action-packed and loads of fun trying to solve a mystery and the best part is this is just the first piece of the puzzle the guest of honor needs to solve! Maybe she won’t get the hint when no excuses are accepted when one of the girls invites everyone to her place for a nightcap.

Why Not Invite the Guys?

If you want to make the evening even more of a success, why not invite the guys? Make it a couples night out, starting with the breakout room in Cincinnati followed by the ‘nightcap.’ Of course, it might be even harder yet when getting the guys involved because one of them might let something slip. (Probably not because guys do tend to keep secrets better than the ladies!) The point is, you really are trying to keep the shower a secret and who would even begin to suspect that you were planning a shower where the men were invited?

As untraditional as it may sound, just imagine the party games you could play now that the guys are involved too! If you are looking to have a surprise bridal shower for the record books, plan something totally unexpected to get her out of the house and include people (like the guys) to tag along so that she’d never suspect what is going on behind the scenes. Now it’s time for the most fun ever – so enjoy!
