The Right Furniture Can Make or Break a Big Event

Home Decor

13 Jun

When you’re planning a large event, your first thoughts are probably on when and where you want the party, whom to invite, and what appetizers to serve. For décor, you may focus on colors, lighting, and tabletop decorations. But have you considered what furniture to use? It may seem mundane or unnecessary to give more attention to chair and table rentals, but the right furniture can have a significant impact on the success of your event.

Why Does Furniture Matter?

You may not think guests will remember what they sit on, but that’s just the point. Every aspect of your décor should contribute to the ambiance and theme of the party for a completely satisfying experience. For example, elegant furniture from vintage party rentals would transform a bridal shower from predictable and ordinary to stylish and classy.

Furniture pieces also serve a practical purpose. You want guests to be comfortable and pleased whether they’re eating or chatting. In fact, an unusual chair or side table could be a conversation starter or a perfect prop for a photo!

What Furniture Do You Need?

Tables and chairs are the most important, and they cover a broad range of designs. Which type to get depends on the tone of the party.Lounge chairs and cozy sofas is good for a relaxing event, such as a corporate retreat meant to rejuvenate hardworking employees. Rustic benches and wooden barrels provide the right touch for a country garden party.

In addition to seating and dining arrangements, consider how you can utilize other unique pieces from Austin event rentals. For example, a distressed hutch would be a lovely addition for holding dishes and glasses while adding a homey feel. An antique desk would be an original place to display the guestbook at a wedding. Think outside the box to create a look that reflects your distinct tastes.

Where Do You Find Furniture?

If you’re lucky, you may already own pieces you’d like to use. Antique shops have great options, but then you’re stuck keeping or selling the furniture afterward. For the best value, rent your furniture from a boutique event company.
