Happy Sunday Living newlyweds! We are happy you are here because today we are color crushin! Spring is just around the corner and like most I am currently looking for ways to freshen up our little bungalow. Which is of course what has inspired today’s Society Nest post. Right now I’m feeling very inspired by all things mint. This cool color is calming, playful, and transitional. It can work with a retro style home when paired with black or cherry red. Mint tends to takes on a romantic, feminine feel when grouped with pinks, golds, and other pastels. And best of all mint works incredibly well with neutrals and navy which is the color palette I’ll be working with in my nest. And because I’m doing my damnedest not to paint the walls of our rental (although the tan is really starting to get to me) I’m going to liven up our space with home goods and accessories. In my quest I’ve pinned some faves that I’m considering and featured all 30 minty fresh products below.
Mint has been on the wedding radar for a while now, and pink has always been a wedding staple, but when these two colors are paired together it is beautiful wedding overload! I love pastels in my clothes, art, on my nails, and I could go on, so it’s no surprise I love this pastel palette! I love pastel palettes because they are not overpowering or distracting, and they add a simple touch of elegance to weddings without trying too hard. Pale pink and mint do just that as a wedding palette; they create a delicate palette, yet it doesn’t seem too feminine. Clearly I love these colors together, but what’s your opinion- are you as sold as I am on pastels?
