After recently traveling to Denver, TWPS has discovered a jewel nestled in the Rocky Mountains. The scenic beauty and laid-back inhabitants of cosmopolitan Denver offer any guest to their city quality and comfort. Some local finds have been the elegant Magnolia Hotel, the newest addition to our library. We also discovered the restaurant Root Down, which is an experience in itself–the risotto, along with everything else, is to die for! For a more romantic and luxurious getaway, try the Capitol Hill Mansion, a bed and breakfast “in the heart of downtown Denver.” Getting married in the Denver area would be an excellent idea any time of the year – the springs, summers and autumns have a more temperate climate, while in the winter one could have a wedding set in the back drop of the snow-covered Rockies.
Centrally located in downtown Denver, the Magnolia Hotel mixes classic old style and modern design. Situated in the refurbished American National Bank building, the hotel is the perfect spot to experience all of Denver’s sights and sounds. And if your wedding reception is held in their glamorous ballroom, the bride and groom receive a complimentary free night’s stay for their wedding night and a complimentary stay on their first year’s anniversary!
Root Down is an eclectic restaurant in Denver which “aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in,” according to their mission statement. Check out their website for more delicious-looking meals!
